1st Grade Cities at Night

Square 1 Art Lesson. I started the school year off with Square 1 Art lessons because my due date with them was coming up pretty quick. For 1st grade, I tried Deep Space Sparkle's "Cities at Night" lesson. Thank you Deep Space Sparkle! They turned out great... and was a very good beginning of the year project as it allowed me to assess cutting and gluing skills.

I pre-cut the black construction paper to fit the 8 1/2" square size of the Square 1 Art paper. I glued the finished work onto their labeled paper - it worked great. We cut rectangles and squares from colored paper and used q-tips to add stars and a moon at the end.
